MENTORING

Mentoring is incorporated into all programs delivered by 100 Black Men chapters across the organization’s global network. The 100 Black Men of America, Inc.‘s proprietary training curriculum is available only to 100 Black Men Chapter members, mentees, Collegiate 100® and Emerging 100® members.

 

S.M.A.R.T. ACADEMY

The purpose of the “100 Academy” mentorship program is to effectively mentor young men between the ages of 13-17 by providing them with guidance, support, and education.  One of our chapter mottos is “real men giving real time”, and the 100 AMP intends to do just that.  The program is designed to improve the self-esteem and self-efficacy of mentees by granting them access to chapter members and their life experiences.

What does SMART stand for?

S= Success
M= Motivation
A= Academics
R= Respect
T= Trust​

African American teenagers face many obstacles and the purpose of the SMART program is to give mentees the tools to help them successfully navigate those challenges. 

Our expectation is that once mentees graduate from the AMP that they will:

  1. Stay in school,
  2. Graduate from High School,
  3. Be role models to their peers,
  4. Have a desire to go to college
  5. Become mentors to future AMP mentees.
